Phu Quoc Island is one of the most beautiful beaches in the south west of Vietnam. You can approach Phu Quoc by flying directly from Saigon, by speed boat from Rach Gia – Kien Giang or even flying from Can Tho City. Different from Phan Thiet, Mui Ne and Nha Trang Beach, Phu Quoc beach is quite shallow, the sandy beach is softer than any beaches there. Phu Quoc is considered as a paradise for relaxation and honeymoon. The best things about the island are its beauty, its charm and its nature. 9 nights in island will give you a fantastic time to do scuba diving, snorkeling, trekking and fishing. Day by day Program
|
Day 1: HO CHI MINH ON ARRIVAL
Arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport, meet a tour guide and transfer to your hotel, leave your luggage. Free for leisure.
Check in at 14:00 (Early check - in may have a surcharge).
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: CUCHI TUNNELS – CITY TOUR (B/L)
Take morning tour to Cu Chi Tunnels -70km Northwest of HCMC - well-known
with a system tunnels deeply underground with several floors, seeing document film, getting inside tunnels “as an architectural structure”, visiting Hoang Cam smokeless kitchen, many fighting bunkers, some booby traps, firing gun with real bullets (personal) at National Defense Shooting Range Sport, enjoying the guerilla’s food and tea, visiting rice paper village where tourist can learn how to make it.
Back to Saigon for lunch. Afternoon, visiting The Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office as well as History Museum, a short visit Ben Thanh Market.
Overnight in HCMC.
Day 3: HCMC – CAN THO MEKONG (B/L/D)
Depart for Vinh Long. After 3 hours drive from Saigon, 136km, Vinh Long – a
town of Mekong delta lying between the Tien and Hau rivers. A boat trip takes tourist to Cai Be floating market with sellers and buyers bargaining and exchanging goods from their boats. Visit coconut candy workshop, popcorn, pop rice village.
Keep travelling to Vinh Long province by boat, going through the canals with
tropical fruit garden. You will have a good chance to mingle with local peasants, learn the secrets of their Bonsai gardening on the way.
Lunch at local garden. Continue to Can Tho city.
Check in at hotel. Relax at night in Can Tho.
Day 4: MEKONG DELTA – PHU QUOC (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Take a boat trip to visit Cai Rang floating market with sellers and buyers bargaining and exchanging goods from their boat.
Back to Ninh Kieu quay.
Check out at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Phu Quoc Island.
Overnight in Phu Quoc.
Days 5-12: PHU QUOC RELAXATION (B)
Accommodation in Phu Quoc Island only.
Phu Quoc is called the island of "99 mountains" because of its many sandstone chains gradually descending from the north to the south. The longest one is Ham Ninh which stretches for 30 km along the eastern edge. Phu Quoc has a monsoon sub-equatorial climate. There are two seasons in the year: rainy season (October only) and dry season (November to September). Trips to Phu Quoc can be made all year round, but the best time is dry season when the sky is always sunny, clear and blue.
Phu Quoc is also called the Emerald Island because of its natural treasures and infinite tourism potential.
The island is well known for its high-quality fish sauce; Phu Quoc fish sauce smells particularly good since it is made from a small fish with a high level of protein. The island produces 6 million litres of fish sauce every year.
In one day, visitors can experience the culture of Vietnam at the local market in the morning, relax on a remote and stunning beach in the afternoon, enjoy a delicious dinner and drinks at one of the restaurants and enjoy a nice sleep at the variety of hotels and resorts on this superb island. Open year round with a peak season from November to June, Phu Quoc becomes well known for stunning beaches, untouched natural environment, the easy going and relaxed atmosphere, friendly locals, and fantastic scuba diving and snorkelling.
Day 13: HO CHI MINH – DEPARTURE (B)
Check out at 12:00.
Transfer to the airport for the flight from HCMC.
