Mount Fan Si Pan, the highest peak in Vietnam (3143m) is home of a great variety of plant and animal species and from its top you will be rewarded with absolutely amazing views of Laos and China. Climbing a 3,413m ASL Mountain in just three days takes some effort, endurance and plenty of high spirit. The night will be spent in tent with toilet tent provided. The trip is not recommended in bad weather for safety reasons. Climbing Fan Si Pan Mountain also requires some training. The trek is rated 3/5 in the difficulty scale and bad weather conditions can make it harder. However, the highlight of this trip is not Fan Si Pan Mountain only, but also some landscape and sightseeing in Hanoi and a wonderful on a junk in Ha Long Bay – one of the World Natural Heritages magnificent site.

Day by day Program

Day 1 - HANOI ON ARRIVAL
Arrive at Noi Bai Airport, meet a tour guide and transfer to your hotel, leave your luggage. Free for leisure.
Check in at 14:00 (If there is a room available, you can check in earlier). Overnight in Hanoi.
Days 2 - HANOI CITY TOUR (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel
Take full day city tour of Ha Noi, the highlights will be Ho Chi Minh‘s Mausoleum (opened from December to September,
on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and at weekend) and his living complex, One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Temple of Literature.
Visit the Fine Arts Museum, Ethnological Museum and Tran Quoc pagoda.
Enjoy the puppet show.
Tonight, take night train to Lao Cai (accommodation on train is an air-con equipped compartment of 4 pax)
Overnight on train (Sleeper Cabin)
HANOI = SAPA = FAN SI PAN
This Soft Adventure Tour is organized in cooperation with a local supplier that specializes in organizing trekking tours in the area of Sapa.
Their experienced and well trained trekking leaders are specialist in the North of Vietnam, in its valleys and hill-tribe communities.
Stay at the Topas Ecolodge, Chau Long or Victoria, located in two cone-shaped hills set deep in the spectacular Sapa valley.

Day 3 - LAOCAI – SAPA (B/L/D)
Upon arrival in Lao Cai, frugal breakfast in a local market.
Transfer from the train station to Sapa to visit the market. Check in around noon. Lunch.
A short walk will take you in the afternoon through the town of Sapa and along a dirt trail through beautiful gardens and lush pine forests.
You will get to the Black Hmong ethnic minority village of Matra, a very small village that still hides from civilisation.
As you keep walking, you will discover rice paddy fields and spectacular scenery on your way to the church of Taphin,
where your car will take you back to Sapa.
Transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 – SAPA – TRAM TON – 2,900M (B/L/D)
Breakfast.
Travel by car towards the Silver Waterfall where you will be able to take a short walk to the waterfall.
Drive further to Heaven Gate, the highest peak road in Vietnam. From here, you can see Fan Si Pan, the highest peak in Indochina.
The trek is easy before we stop in the forest at lunchtime. After lunch, the walk heads back towards the campsite,
offering you the opportunity to enjoy the scenery and magnificent views to Sapa and the beautiful landscape of Lai Chau province.
Campsite is at 2900m above sea level.
Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 - 2,900M – TOP OF MOUNTAIN FAN SI PAN (B/L/D)
Breakfast.
Start climbing to the top of mount Fan Si Pan. From the summit you will enjoy the best views of the valley.
The descend starts. Lunch at a nice spot on the way down. After lunch the trek goes downhill though the rainforest.
This part of the trek requires full attention and concentration.
Dinner after having reached the campsite at 2,700m.
Overnight in tents.
Day 6 - 2,700M – TOP OF MOUNTAIN FAN SI PAN (B/L)
Have breakfast before heading back to civilization.
The trek runs through well protected forest until lunch. Afterwards, continue descending towards Sin Chai village, home to the Hmong minority.
From here, a car will take you back to Sapa, where you will enjoy some spare time (time permitting) before the transfer to Lao Cai train
station to board the night train back to Hanoi.
Tonight, take night train to Hanoi (accommodation on train is an air-con equipped compartment of 4 pax).
Overnight on train (Sleeper Cabin)
Note:Topas Ecolodge is located 18 km from Sapa, deep in the Hoang Lien Mountains.
The 25-lodge overlooks the entire valley with the ethnic minority villages of Ban Ho and Than Phu 400 meters below.
There are no restaurants and entertainments around the lodge. Rooms are simple, but clean and enjoy stunning views over the valley.
OPTION FOR DAY 7 and 8
Day 7 - HALONG – HUONG HAI JUNK (B/L/D)
After having breakfast in Ha Noi, we depart for Ha Long city, the World Natural Heritage with over 3000 limestone islands & islets scattering an area of 1500 sq km in Tonkin Bay:
12h15:Board Huong Hai junk, check-in resignation. Welcome drink to serve.
12h45: Start cruising.
13h00:Have lunch with welcome wine.
13h30:A fantastic cruise in Ha Long bay, visit Dinh Huong island, Ga Choi Island, Dog island, Sail island, Sung Sot cave and a swim at Titov beach.
17h30:Enjoy dinner on board while watching sunset.
19h30:Enjoy dinner on board.
21h00:Fishing, drinking Vietnamese wine and spending a night on junk.
Day 8 - HALONG – HANOI (B/-/D)
7h00:Have breakfast.
7h30:Another wonderful cruise to visit Tortoise island Mans head island,visit Luon cave by a small bamboo boat, Bai Tu Long Bay.
10h00:Arrange luggage and check – out at 10h30.
11h00:Have lunch on board.
11h45:Arrive Halong wharf. End the trip.
Drive back to Hanoi and visit Dong Trieu pottery en route. Transfer to Hanoi.
Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 7 - Ha Noi – Ha Long – Bhaya Junk (B/L/D)*****
After having breakfast in Ha Noi, we depart for Ha Long city, the World Natural Heritage with over 3000 limestone islands & islets scattering an area of 1500 sqkm in Tonkin Bay:
12:00 – 12:30: Check-in at Bhaya Café, Halong City.Embark on Bhaya Classic for a Welcome Cocktail followed by a cruise. Briefing.
13:00 – 15:30: Savor a delicious Vietnamese buffet lunch as Bhaya Classic heads to Bai Tu Long Bay passing the
towns of Hon Gai and Cam Pha, Oan Lagoon, Mat Quy (Monster Head) and Am Tich (Teapot) Islets and Vung Vieng fishing village.
15:30 – 17:00: Visit the fishing village by local rowing boat (01 hour) then return to the vessel for free time at your
leisure or join one of the following optional activities: Kayak into the village or swim near the boat; Optional onboard activities:
Sunbathing, traditional massage, etc…; Trip by tender to an isolated pristine beach for swimming...
17:00: Bhaya Classic cruises through the Bay to its overnight anchorage near Ho Dong Tien. Happy Hour & Vietnamese cooking demonstration on the Sundeck.
19:30:Sumptuous Seafood Set-dinner onboard.
21:00:Retire to your cabin or join the fishing program.
Overnight onboard Bhaya Classic.
Day 8 - Halong – Hanoi (Brunch/D)
06:15:Start your day with Tai Chi on the Sundeck while complimentary Tea and coffee are served.
07:00:Bhaya Classic weighs anchor to cruise through the Bay passing beautiful spots like Trong(Drum), Trinh Nu (Virgin) and Me Cung
Caves, Coc Ngoi (Toad) Islet, etc.
08:30:Explore the Surprise Cave (Sung Sot).
09:30:Return to Bhaya Classic. Buffet brunch is served onboard. The vessel cruises leisurely back to harbour.
11:00:Disembark at Bhaya Cafe, Halong City.
Come back to Hanoi, visit Dong Trieu pottery en route.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 9 - HANOI – DEPARTURE (B)
Transfer to International Airport for your flight.
Fly back to London.
